Knock Yourself Out

Enjoyed till I burst
I just received my creative swap loot bag yesterday from Leah. It came all the way from Canada in a red box with the word “enjoy!” written on top. Sorry, but I think it did not do the package justice. Instead, I think it should’ve been “have fun till sunshine burst out of your ears!”.
Thank you very much Leah, for all the effort, thought, and creativity you have put in this package. I definitely felt all the love that came with it. I was like a little girl bouncing in excitement as I opened the parcel and unwrapped them piece by piece. I especially loved the princess mints and saucer, and the key chains too. She also sent me a couple of paper cranes that her hubby made! It was so cool it could’ve frozen hell over. LOL.
I was not the only one who received a gift yesterday though, for I have also given my Man two handmade clay polymer key chains (they are really wonderful, you should also order yours from Cheryl Abrigo; comes cheap too) last night, for being such a wonderful Babe.

Wow, all these gift talk makes me crave for Christmas more and more!
Paper Crane Origin: Brazil
You might’ve known for long that the art of paper crane folding originated from Japan. Let me tell you something: they came from Brazil – from shadowmoon to be exact!

The flight of the paper cranes took some 1800 Kms to reach me!
I just received the parcel that shadowmoon sent which contains nine paper crane donations for my 1,000 paper crane project.

I think shadowmoon's paper cranes look way better than mine. LOL
I really, really appreciate the effort shadowmoon, thank you so much – to think how far these wings came from! I can imagine you folding them one by one, just like when you are doing your wonderful paper crafts.
If you would recall, I started my paper crane project as an anti-stress technique against the hassles my work environment presents me. I stated that each time I would be stressed out, I would transfer my negative vibe into folding paper cranes until I reach 1,000 by the end of the semester.
Fortunately, I am glad to say the necessity that is to fold paper cranes has decreased dramatically, since I am now able to control my thoughts and emotions better in response to not so healthy energies around me. I think you would be happy to know that my bubble is back and stronger than ever, my claws and whiskers on their proper places.
I stress very little nowadays and I find so much to be grateful for – like receiving paper cranes from a friend! I realized that moving to a new environment would always entail a crisis, that later will be nothing more than a laughing matter.
No Googly Eyes Allowed Inside

Static
Like lightning that rips the evening sky apart
In a split second, it was as if you’ve read all I tried to conceal,
As the dark of yours pierced into the paleness of mine
From across the dimly lit room, causing a celestial collapse,
Surprisingly, transporting me into an alternate reality,
Where in the coldness there exists only you and I -
Where it is possible that you and I… can be us.

I am terribly suffering from lack of sleep, and as usual, I am pretending to fill my noggin with creativity, even when in reality, I am horribly spacing out.
BTW, the photo is not mine, though it is very beautiful. I just downloaded it from google search.
Heaven Sent (By Japan Mail)
My day was 50-50. No, not dying, though I wish someone died today. LOL. I was happy and annoyed, contented and disgusted, giddy and nauseous. Whew, can you imagine feeling all those at the same time? LOL.
However, I am ready to conclude that my day was great and forget all the hassles because my creative swap loot bag arrived today all the way from Japan, and of course, my partner was caryn! Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts that I enjoyed so much.

Creative Swap Loot

Fun gifts from caryn! Thank you so much!

The knot bag was so cute I used it immediately when I went to FairyGodMommy Fe's birthday bash tonight.

I shared the snacks with my Man and Ched. We had so much fun sampling them.
Participating in the creative swap made me appreciate blogging even more. It is such a wonderful experience to relate to fellow bloggers on such a different level; it is so much fun! I am looking forward to the next roundm, especially that piapot is also joining.
Also, today is FairyGodMommy Fe’s birthday. Happy birthday Mommy! I wish you all the best in life and I love you so much!

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head
I was a very happy girl when June came in because the first week I dedicate to some long sought after vacation. I remember telling myself that I will not do anything productive during this time. So far, I think I am doing a good job in keeping to my goal. LOL.
Besides, I do not have any choice, the weather is too perfect for being lazy. Just like yesterday, everything is still cold, damp, and dim. It paints a smile on my face just watching those raindrops fall from the sky, crash into the ground and flow and seep everywhere, as if having this side of the world undergo a cleansing ritual.
I’m not sure though how much I will still love it for after this week, PM is set to go back to work, but not in the college where I taught chemistry last summer but to a new university where I will be teaching nursing obstetrics and pediatrics. I am looking forward to it but I am also uneasy because the resources available to me are quite limited, and that translates to obstacles for my would-be students. Anybody there willing to help?
Also, I got another blog award, this time, thank you to shadowmoon87 for passing on the Neno’s Award. I am guessing Neno was the one who invented the award. LOL. I think the logo is very cool too.
I like blog awards because it kind of gives you inspiration to continue on doing what you do best, plus it helps you feel betetr about yourself and your writing. Even though these are not Nobel Prizes, the knowledge that somewhere out there, you have reached people who are willing to listen to you and believe in you is awesome.
This too came with a question that is rather easy to answer, asking why I love blogging. To me this question is similar to asking why a bird chirps. Blogging – writing for that matter, to me is an advocacy that I tried to keep on doing even after I left the student publications on my college days.
I started my blog to continue my advocacy of empowering people, of creating awareness resulting to better informed choices about everything in life. This is my way of reaching out to others, and telling them that they are not alone in whatever circumstance they are experiencing. Through blogging I get to share my passion and in turn experience the same from the various blogs I read and learn from.
Each time someone would laugh, or make a good gesture to a loved one inspired by something I wrote, I know for a fact that I am making this world a better place. To me, blogging is doing my share for humanity.
And no, I am not practicing for a Miss Universe audition. That’s just how it is. LOL.
I gladly pass this on to bloggers whom I know, through reading them, are passionate people in what they do, and continue to inspire other people to do the same. To K, panaderos, reichan, carver, and ceemee, a high paw five for doing a job well done.
Create Your Own Sunshine
The rain has been nonstop here since days ago and I could not be any happier. I love the rain. I love how everything is dim and quiet and cold. It kind of makes me want to just stay in bed and snuggle with my fat cat, Jin. LOL.
I think the rainy season is the perfect time for bonding moments, for long talks and reading books with a wonderful mug of hot choco on one hand and a blanket on the other. Such wonderful days ahead!

I have just finished packing my loot for my wonderful creative swap partner. I am so excited in sending it as much as receiving my own stash. I will be sending it on Friday. I hope my partner will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed preparing it for her.
I actually took a picture of it but I decided not to include it here, leaving my creative swap partner to hopefully post it on her own site.
I have been going around the blogs of the other creative swap participants and I found that a lot have already sent and received their own. I also realized that compared to them, I am embarrassed to call myself creative. LOL. They sew, make their own accessories and toys, heck, I think some even do carpentry!
I think the most creative thing I did was taking care of a fat cat with blue eyes. LOL.

It always gives me so much joy when other people express appreciation of my junk blog. This time around, a lot of thank yous to John for handing me the Kreativ Blogger Award and for the wonderful words.
Prinsesa’s Anatomy (She’s a young nurse and teacher and like me, she loves cats). She is a very skilled writer covering a variety of topics. You’ll see she is very creative in using her cat theme! I absolutely love her blog.
I wonder why the award is spelled with a K though. This also came with a tag, to share seven favorite things and pass this to another seven creative bloggers.
This is the kind of tags I like, the ones that won’t fry my remaining active neurons when I do it. Let’s see. My Asperger’s manifests in these stuff:
- literature
- photography
- on-line gaming
- art
- shopping
- meat
- chocolates
Now I have seen so many people in the blogosphere that are way, way more creative than I am, and by being so I believe they continue to inspire more and more people to be more passionate about what they do.
To shadowmoon87, seraphine, niel, kg, caryn, sidney, and ax, kudos for creating your own sunshine!
Hanging By A Moment
Crossing the Line
At the very edge I hung – thinking
Whether I should let go and allow myself to fall,
To what seemed like a glorious plunge,
To what seemed like a blinding, maddening downward flight.
I looked down – tense, curious.
I could almost hear my frantic scream, loud and faint as I go down, down, down.
A scream of pleasure and horror, as I have become prey.
‘Let go’ – it is very, very tempting.
I closed my eyes – savoring my moment of indecision…
The taste of intoxication fills my mouth,
As a cold sweat of fear trickle down my neck.
It is close – any moment now.
My fingers loose grip – one after the other.
I chill in lost anticipation, wonder, awe…
As I throw my head back to feed my fall, ready for the long way down -
Let’s see if I can grow wings.
I had some boring free time today so I pretended I was filling it up by writing poetry. LOL.
I also saw another poetry today posted by ceemee titled Innocence. I wonder if she was also bored when she wrote it. LOL.
Happy Birthday Piapot!

Happy Birthday Piapot!
Today is piapot’s birthday.
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday, happy birthday…
Happy birthday to you!
You might’ve known her from visits to her dead blog that she is trying to resurrect these past few days. LOL. Sometimes people get confused between the two of us in the blogging world. We are siblings, and I am older.
Today she turns 18. Like me, she did not want to have a corny debut, only an intimate family dinner. I think we are very much alike in many ways, for one we are both neurotic. But piapot is a very intelligent girl. She is that one person I run to when I want those challenging philosophical world view debates at night time. She is also a writer, and a good leader. I know she will also be EIC of our university paper. It will only be a matter of time.
The one thing that is different between us is the fact that she is so kind, sometimes I want to throw her down the stairs for being stupidly kind. When God decided to give my parent’s children kindness, she was carrying a Balikbayan box while I had a teaspoon.
She is also sociable, unlike some, ehem, who even repel ants. She is socially aware and involved, and I do admire her compassion, which I lack most of the time, being the task-oriented person that I am. I am very proud of her for all that she has done and Iam very excited to see what she will become in the next few days and years.
Back then, people from our office in the university paper sometimes calls her ‘little Musang’ but I beg to differ. I know she is her own person and I applaud her for carving the path that she is on right now. Tap your shoulder piapot, good job.
Happy Birthday!
Mental Orgasm
I remember the first time I used the word ‘mental orgasm’: it was for the disclaimer in our college literary folio, with ‘mental orgasm’ referring to the creative literary and art works of the authors and artists who had the privilege to be included in the folio.
I would like to think that creativity is a form of mental orgasm. You can furnish the details by yourself – I don’t like to be graphic about it. LOL.
Inspired by the contagious excitement of kg about the May/June Creative Swap, I decided to join myself in search of a new blogging adventure.
In line with me participating, this post is a shout out to whoever the cosmos will choose (or whoever caryn assigns to me, LOL) as my creative swap partner (whoever you are, I already like you because we have something in common: we are both latecomers).
Q: What kind of creative things are you into?
PM:I would like to think I am into creative things. LOL. Let me see. I like scrap booking, embellishing and recycling, reading and writing prose, photography and lay-outing, and shirt printing.
Q: How would you describe your personal style?
PM: I am very much laid-back, minimalistic, and in my dreams I think I am stylish. LOL.
Q: What are your favorite colors?
PM: I like white, orange, pink, and yellow.
Q: What is one craft you would like to learn?
PM: Carpentry? LOL. I would like to learn the ones that require patience like paper crafts or cross-stitching but that is never going to happen. LOL. I would want to paint, but that is also never going to happen. LOL. Or maybe it can, abstract painting. LOL. And baking!
Q: What other hobbies are you into?
PM: I take care of my fat cat, Jin, and read a lot of boring things. LOL. On my free time, which hardly comes, I watch Nat. Geo and Japanese manga with my sisters. I do not like to move a lot. LOL. I am a stay at home person, very laid-back.
Q: What items do you really wish you had right now?
PM: A new laptop? LOL. Let me see. Maybe tons of shirt printing stuff and loads of photo paper that is self-adhesive. LOL.
I am pretty excited about this because I really enjoy giving stuff away. LOL. I wish I would not accidentally send Jin by courier to my creative swap partner. LOL.
BTW, laugh with us here.
PM Shake
I am a bit behind on tags so I thought today should be declared do-your-tags day. This time, I think that tags can be pretty interesting because I feel that everybody will be blogging about the East-West boxing match so I am offering a change in the menu.
The first one is actually an award that I got from wonderful mom ceemee last April 1.Thanks ceemee, much appreciated!

Finally, an actual human thinks I am smart LOL
Accordingly, the recipient of this award is not your everyday blogger, if you visit their blog, one thing for sure, you will learn something (but most of the time, a lot) that really worth the time you spend reading their post. Their post is always well-written, with good grammar, very insightful, inspiring, thought provoking and you always wish that you’ve written it. They always have a great stories to tell, either about life, about themselves, or their family. Once you read their blog, there’s one thing that will stuck to your head, that they are absolutely, no doubt, a Smart Blogger!
- Link the one who gave this award and let them know you posted it.
- Pass this to as many Smart Bloggers as you can think and make sure to write something about them, like what makes you think they are Smart.
- Let them know they have an award.
I like this award because it supports my narcissistic and Asperger-stricken self-image LOL. Now I am passing this to bw and nyl because if the criteria for this award is really that up there, I really think I do learn from these two and they do make reading posts worthwhile on a mental scale. Yey me, and yey bw and nyl!

Next is quite trivial and this tag is from good buddy batopik. I wrote this on my very own blackboard back at the college where I taught. LOL. Here’s how it went:
TO NGA PALA ANG DAPAT SAGUTAN:
(a) Write who tagged me,
(b) Answer the following questions:
(b1) my name/user name/pseudo, (b2) right-handed or left-handed?, (b3) my favorite letters to write,
(b4) my least favorite letters to write, (b5) and I should write “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”, and,
(c) Tag five other people.
AT DAPAT SA PAGSAGOT NITO, SULAT-KAMAY DAPAT. BALE GAGAMIT KA NG BALLPEN O ANUMANG PANULAT KAHIT DUGO MO PA AT PAPEL O KAHIT YAONG TUYONG DAHON LANG.
B is for batopik and batopik tagged me. LOL
The lat time I checked, I am PM, and I am right-handed.
Here’s what made it to the Musang list.
But I am not a fan of these letters because they remind me of algebra and I do not like algebra!

Lastly, I say that:
Opsie, I got it wrong. It is supposed to be ‘the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’. But I think there is nothing wrong if it is a big brown fox instead of a quick brown fox.
I am not tagging anyone specific with this because I think it is hard to do so to all of my blog buddies, feel free to grab this tag if you feel like doing it!

Last Friday, my Man and I went to visit my bestfriend, Angeline. She also passed the last nursing state licensure examination so she hosted a thanksgiving lunch. Between the two of us, I think she is the one who is going to be a great nurse; she is very kind and compassionate – things very important in a nurse, which I lack to a certain extent. LOL.
Congratulations sis!
