The Yummiest, Most Disgusting Food You’ll Ever Eat

This is a honeycomb. It was taken from a beehive in the mountains of Bataan and from here I was able to eat the freshest honey that would make Pooh drool and cry in envy.

As you can see, the hexagonal sections on the honeycomb are all filled with delicious honey. You do not take the honey out. You just slice a piece of the honeycomb, throw it down the chute, and suck on it.

What comes out is a warm, sweet, and delightful honey flavor beyond compare. Β  I know it looks weird but if you have the guts to eat it, it is truly a wonderful experience. Also, there is a distinct nutty flavor that you will get from the honeycomb. It has a clean taste that pops inside your mouth. Do you want to know where that comes from?

It comes from the bee larvae still on the honeycomb. If you look closely, you will see the white bee maggots tucked inside the hexagonal sections too. Yes, you also eat the larvae and it comes with the honeycomb. Don’t frown. Take it as a bonus gift. It is an exciting flavor that is all cool… and utterly disgusting, so don’t think too much or you’ll screw the experience up! πŸ˜€

  2. How…odd! I don’t think I can stomach eating the baby bees, pero gusto ko din ma try magpapak ng honey from a honeycomb. San sa Bataan yan nabibili? πŸ˜€

  3. At first glance, I thought that was a cake or something that was made to look like a honeycomb. Juskolord totoong honeycomb pala.

I saw people in our province eat honeycomb, as in pinitas then kinagat. Para kong nasa Ripley’s. Haha. But you know, I probably could eat a honeycomb if I didn’t know about bee maggots inside. I mean, just the sound of the word ‘maggot’ makes me want to vomit. πŸ˜„

  4. wow! i had a similar experience just 3 days ago.. when we dropped by at a bee farm near Mt.Carmel in davao del Sur. its like a bubblegum where you just chew.. and suck the honey out of it. then you keep whats remaining and include it in your steam bath or “tu-ob” hehehehehe. so they say… . πŸ™‚

  5. do you know that if all the bees in the world dies, we would have months to live? tha’s how important they are to our planet. hehe! got that from a bee farm in tagaytay. πŸ™‚

i don’t eat honey plain. i usually mix it with something else…

    • wow that is so cool πŸ˜€ i hope they don’t die though! hindi ko din naman kinakain yung honey na plain. tinikman ko lang ito ang galing kasi eh πŸ™‚

    • i really don’t know where to compare it pero the honey comes out the moment you suck on it then the honeycomb that is left is like a pulp. oo naman kayang-kaya mo to. pag naman hindi mo inisip na may bulate ayos na eh πŸ˜†

    • it’s interesting. i was so curious to try it i did not mind if it comes with larvae. basta sinubo ko na lang bigla. if you think too much mapapasama pa eh.
