Time After Time: 2012 Inventory So Far, So Good

It’s the last quarter of the year, can you believe how time flew by? Passing over San Fernando on my way home from MM after watching The Phantom of the Opera over the weekend, I can’t help but smile at all the colorful lanterns and Christmas fixtures all around! I can’t wait for the holidays; I’m such a big fan (watch out for the blogger Christmas exchange gift this year, okay? Details next month, don’t miss it!)

Wow, this year has been awesome. I sure hope the world wouldn’t end yet because I’m having so much fun, plus I’m still working on my manuscript! Anyway, last night I filled out this bit on my journal called a Soul Inventory; it is like a run down of what has happened in the last quarter or the year so far: how am I doing in terms of goals, health, life satisfaction, and so on. I figured I’d do a similar bit here and pick out some of the highlights of 2012 per month to get a clearer picture. Bonus: you can reminisce with me! 🙂

January: My Man acquired dengue and we camped in the hospital for about 10 days. Dealing with dengue taught me a lot about the disease and also gave me new realizations on how everything in life can change in a snap so don’t take anything for granted!

February: An article I wrote for Inquirer Youngblood got published. I also watched my first movie alone!

March: My relatives from abroad came for a vacation and it made for a grand summer, with tons of Bataan food trip escapades and Bataan beach resort forays.

April: Participated in the 30 Days of Blogging Honesty and One Dare community blog meme event; met a lot of great people.

May: Put up The Notebook Project for the indigent children of Bagac, Bataan. Special thanks to everybody who reached out and helped to meet the needs of the 71 students again!

June: My Man, my sister, my travel buddy Rem, and I had a grand vacation in Bohol.

July: Food month! Check out my Cat-chen for easy baking recipes!

August: I hooked up with L.I.T.E.R.A.L and their blog meme inspired me to pick up my dusty manuscript and work on it again.

September: My Mentor and I watched Phantom and I’m actually still in the clouds because the show was fantastic in so many levels. I also got diagnosed with asthma.

You know what, looking at this list makes me feel good. I think I’ve accomplished a whole lot this year and I’m looking forward to see how the next days unfold. I’m sure some days will suck more than others but I guess that’s okay. If it happens, it happens, right TF? 😉 I hope you are all having a swell year so far!
